Raleigh in August is not supposed to be this beautiful.
I was able to get home a few minutes early yesterday so we could go for a walk.
Hope this lasts.

Three things about this video.
1. I’m sure this is the video equivalent of me telling some story about my children that I think is hilarious, but other people are bored by it….but it’s my blog.
2. My wife is a freaking metronome.
3. I’m not sure why Bennett licks her fingers when she gets excited.
Danielle, Bennett, Eden and I are all at Camp Junaluska in the mountains of NC this week. We’re with a group called The Christian Business Men that have a family camp here every year. They asked Dave O to come run the college students side of things and I’m helping Dave O out with music. Its been fun to have Danielle and the kids along. And also to be away for a week before fall hits. I’ll try and get some pictures up tonight or tomorrow of the scenery….it’s amazing.
It’s been fun to be in the car so much this week…I’ve missed spending time listening to music. I think I’ve listen to the Crowder Band, Can You Hear Us 7 times already this week. I know allot of people think that A Collision is their best work, but I really think the song-writing/musicianship/production on Can You Hear Us, is their best stuff.
Have any of you heard this CD? It’s their first CD on a label…I think…I could be wrong. It’s funny how many things they have hidden throughout this CD. Like an obsession with the number 7. Actually, I think everything hidden revolves around the number 7. I’ll see if I can put a list together of what I find.
Anyways, just thought I would share.
Hope your week goes well.
We just got back from a week at the beach with my mom’s side of the family. Every year since before I was born, that side of the family has gone on vacation together every summer. This year we got 36 people (yes, 36 - 4 generations) into a house on the beach. Danielle and I were so glad that my family was able to hang out with Eden just a few days after she was born…and glad for all the help they were with the girls.
Here’s a picture from last year’s vacation…my Grandma’s doing her best Pete Wentz imitation.
Danielle and Eden are still doing great.
We had a great night….we got 8 hours of sleep…4 hours on either side of the night feeding.
Bennett can already imitate Eden….she’s dead on.
Thank you for your prayers.
Well Danielle didn’t ever go into labor, so we’re at the Hospital waiting for her to be induced sometime today. I was up most of the night sick…and found out this morning at urgent care that i have strep. So i guess i’ll have a mask on during delivery. Other than that things seem to be going well. Danielle is handling this like a champ.
She’s doing a really great job of keeping her blog up to date…..blonderenstroms.blogspot.com.
Hope to have pictures soon.
Danielle was due yesterday, and even though she was two days late last pregnancy, we thought for sure that this baby would come either on or before the due date. But no go.
We’ve tried a few tricks. Like eating Mexican food…..we actually did this the day before Bennett was born, but it didn’t work this time. We tried to walk the baby out. We spent almost 2 hours at a shopping center yesterday walking around. Danielle and Bennett got some great shoes out of it, but no baby.
One other things we’ve been working on is her “contraction face.” Think it and it will come, right? ha, ha.
So I guess now we just wait.
Last night our friend Shelly took some family pictures for us. We’ve wanted a few pictures before Baby #2 comes…..but have just been dragging our feet. So anyways, we went out with Shelly, and she got some great shots.
Seriously, isn’t this picture the most precious thing you’ve ever seen? Come on… she’s beautiful.
Thanks so much mo.
With Baby #2 due in about 2 weeks, we have a lot of house projects that need to get done. My family spent the whole weekend helping us check things off our list.
